The home of good food
Although most people think of prairie dogs as a kind of food, there is also an animal with the same name. Prairie Dogs are herbivorous rodents, native to the grasslands of North America.
There are five different species of prairie dogs. These are:
- Gunnison's Prairie Dog (Cynomys gunnisoni)
- White-tailed Prairie Dog (Cynomys leucurus)
- Black-tailed Prairie Dog (Cynomys ludovicianus)
- Mexican Prairie Dog (Cynomys mexicanus)
- Utah Prairie Dog (Cynomys parvidens)
